Saint Augustine
Confessions
He starts out saying humbling things of man and asking lots of questions about God's presence, how is he to find God,
where he was before he was born, etc. He says something interesting about what its like being a baby and little kid.
In book 1:6 3rd paragraph. Starts with God's time vs. our time in Book 1:6 4th paragraph (25th?).
He says God gives faith but does not make sin in man (Book 1:7 1st) and he goes into what sins babies might commit and
says it is more often from lack of strength or ability that they do no harm, and he cites an example of one babe being
jealous of another babe sucking a tit. Book 1:8,9 has lots of reasonable arguments for learning, based on empirical
experiences, conjunction through repitition and an innate universal language. pg. 29 last sentence. 1:10 He says God
didn't create sin but only arbits it. Bottom of pg 31 he mentions the church and top of pg 32 has funny ideas of baptism.
Last sentence of 1:12 sounds like freewill.
